VISA Assistance
The names of non-U.S. citizens who have expressed interest in attending the meeting, Advances in Arachis through Genomics & Biotechnology, to be held in Atlanta, GA, have been forwarded to the U.S. Embassy to alert appropriate in-country offices and consulates of your pending application for a non-immigrant visa to enter the U.S.
Please be aware that you will still need to apply to your nearest U.S. Embassy or U.S. Consulate office to schedule appointment dates for interviews and to receive registration numbers. This step is a prerequisite for the actual interviews and issuing visa referral letters. If you have not yet contacted the in-country U.S. Embassy or U.S. Consulate office, please do so IMMEDIATELY.
When appointment dates and registration numbers have been obtained: Applicants from China may schedule interviews to receive visa referral letters by contacting
Ms. Zhang Lei (Lei.Zhang@fas.usda.gov or (86 10) 6532-1953 extension 322)
Applicants from India may schedule interviews to receive visa referral letters by contacting Ms. Holly S. Higgins (AgNewDelhi@usda.gov or http://newdelhi.usembassy.gov)
In the event the appointment date you receive is not in accordance with your travel dates, please contact these offices for assistance.
Also, any invited individual who requires additional assistance in applying for a non-immigrant visa to attend the subject meeting, should notify Richard Wilson at rfwilson@mindspring.com
Thank you for your attention to these details. We look forward to seeing you in Atlanta.
